Product Updates: November 2025 - Smarter Compensation and Easier Payroll Accuracy
Every month, Rollfi delivers improvements that make embedded payroll simpler, faster, and more accurate for our customers. Our most recent updates focused on workflows that help employers onboard their teams correctly, stay compliant across states, and manage former team members with ease.
Smarter Compensation Workflows
Small business owners often face confusion when setting up team members as salaried or hourly employees. Misclassifying roles can lead to overpayment or underpayment, which causes frustration and rework later.
With our enhanced employee onboarding experience, Rollfi now guides business owners step by step in assigning the correct wage type for each team member. This helps ensure every paycheck is accurate from the start, reducing payroll errors and saving valuable time.
Support for Washington State L&I Rates
State-specific payroll rules can be complex, especially when it comes to additional taxes like Washington State’s Labor & Industries (L&I) rates. These rates apply to industries such as plumbing, roofing, and construction, and vary based on the type of work performed.
Employers using Rollfi in Washington can now set and save L&I rates for each employee directly within the platform. During each payroll run, you can easily assign hours to the correct rate right from the Pay Details screen, making compliance and payroll accuracy effortless.
Adding Former Team Members
Switching payroll providers should not mean losing access to important year-end tax forms for former employees or contractors. Rollfi now allows employers to easily add former team members during onboarding. This ensures every worker, past and present, receives their W-2 or 1099 at the end of the year without manual workarounds or data gaps.
